MAD stands for Music Art and Drama. And texas (no capital is on purpose) is considering a bill that would drop the ONE fine arts requirement for high school students. In four years students had to take one class: music, art or drama. If this passes they won't take any. And the arts will die in texas.

Of course, we'll still have sports. And a morning pledge to a state flag. And state mandated testing.

But no arts. No outlet for creativity. No alternative thinking for creative problem solving.
